发动机试验室拥有国内先进的汽油发动机和柴油发动机试验台架，并配备了功能完善的发动机自动测控系统，可进行功率至250 kW，转速至8000r/min的各种车用发动机的性能试验，包括发动机功率、扭矩、燃油消耗率、怠速排放、烟度、噪声与排放物等的测定。同时，能承担汽车节能与排气装置、各种燃油添加剂、机油添加剂、汽车发动机零部件性能、汽车发动机辅件性能的台架试验。
    测试功能齐全的发动机试验台可为新型发动机燃料油、生物柴油、燃油添加剂、润滑油添加剂进行台架试验，结合中心强大的油品理化检测能力，为各种车用油品做全面的节能减排性能评定和全套理化检验。
